Natural Characteristics & Care

This fur rug is crafted from a natural material, and no two Mongolian sheepskins are ever identical. Variations in size, shape, texture, colour tone, and wool pile are inherent and should be celebrated as part of the rug’s authentic character.

Sheepskin rugs do not shed naturally; however, light wool shedding may occur due to loose or trapped fibres from the cutting and stitching process. This will subside over time with gentle shaking and light vacuuming.

As Mongolian fur rugs are lightweight, a non-slip underlay is highly recommended. Avoid placing the rug in direct sunlight, as prolonged exposure may cause colour fading due to the eco-dyeing process.

All animal skin, furs, and sheepskin products are natural products that will feature variation in color tone, pile, texture, and shape.
All dyed products keep away from direct UV sunlight exposure as this may damage the colour.
In the event of staining, remove excess soiling with a dry cloth. If it is a liquid stain absorb as much of the stain with a dry cloth without spreading the stain further.
Only with lukewarm water and gentle detergent, gently wash the stain. Do not submerge or wash the product unless otherwise stated.
Do not use chemical agents.
Remove excess moisture with a dry cloth and allow it to dry naturally in the shade and do not apply heat.
Do not expose to direct sunlight.
Keep away from moist and damp areas.
Do not tumble dry.
Do not steam clean
Professional Dry clean only.
Gently shake outside or use a low-setting vacuum cleaner.
