Irregular Sheepskin Rug — Contemporary Art for the Floor

An expressive statement in texture and form, this Irregular floor rug redefines floor styling as contemporary art. Crafted from premium Merino sheepskin, the area rug features a natural white base delicately finished with golden brown dyed tips, creating depth, movement, and a softly luminous finish. The result is a sculptural sheepskin rug that feels as striking as it is indulgent underfoot.

With its organically irregular shape, this piece brings a curated, gallery-like presence to interiors — perfect for those seeking a design-forward alternative to traditional rugs. The dense, plush wool forms a thick floor rug with exceptional warmth, softness, and visual impact.

Styling Inspiration

Style this irregular rug beside the bed for a refined bedroom moment, anchor it beneath a sculptural lounge chair, or layer it over timber, concrete, or stone floors to introduce contrast and tactile luxury. Its artistic form and tonal warmth make it ideal for minimalist, contemporary, or editorial interiors.

Craftsmanship & Custom Design

Hand-crafted in Australia, each floor rug is individually made using carefully selected Merino sheepskins. As a bespoke design, custom sizes, shapes, and colourways are available upon request. Please allow approximately 3-4 weeks for production. Colour samples can be provided prior to ordering to ensure a perfect match for your space.

Natural Characteristics

Sheepskin is a natural material, and variations in shape, wool density, and tone are inherent. These characteristics are embraced and celebrated, ensuring every rug is truly one of a kind.

We can’t thank enough Emily, for creating a beautiful custom rug to our exact specifications for baby’s nursery. Emily was very informative and showed us many different sheepskin samples. The rug was made within two weeks as promised. Emily has the most genuine aura, we definitely will be back.

I feel so fortunate to have found ELuxury Home in my search for a new floor rug. Emily’s craftsmanship and attention to detail are more than I could ever have hoped for, and I am absolutely delighted with the stunning, bespoke rug she has created for me. Even more important for me however, was the generous, honest and considerate service, right from the very first email. Emily spent a lot of time and took a lot of trouble to understand what I was after, and to ensure that I would be happy with the final product. There was more than one occasion during our collaboration where Emily could have created and sold me a rug which I would likely have been quite satisfied with, and which would have saved her a great deal of time and trouble. Instead she asked the questions I didn’t think to ask, and took the time and trouble to understand what I wanted, even when I couldn’t articulate it well myself. Finding any person in any type of business with that level of integrity, honesty, consideration, care and commitment to their product and their customer is so unusual these days. It was an absolute pleasure doing business with Emily, and I cannot recommend her highly enough.

    Amanda O’Leary

I would highly recommend this business. I was unsure about spending a lot of money on an online transaction so I phoned Emily with a range of questions. Emily was so helpful, informative and so genuine, that I knew I had found the right supplier for my merino rug. Emily was so easy to talk with and everything went so smoothly. I received my rug within 2 weeks as Emily promised and I absolutely love it.
