Alpaca Fur Vs Alpaca Wool Blanket Vs Down Duvet
Alpaca fur is shorn and spun like wool, but alpaca wool is technically fur, as its molecular structure is quite different to that of wool. Alpaca fur in its unaltered and original form features extraordinary qualities outstanding many of its competitors such as wool and feather/down. Firstly Alpaca fur is airy and hollow with the capability to capture body heat to keep the body warm. Alpaca fur does not consist of lanolin (an oil found in wool), nor does it collect dust mites making it hypo-allergenic and excellent for allergy sufferers. Besides being light weight and much warmer than many of the other blankets and duvets on the market, Alpaca fur blankets are easy care, and odour free as it does not absorb body moisture causing nasty bacterial smells.
A wonderful addition to our alpaca blankets is our new collection of alpaca under blankets, ensuring that your night time comfort is at a luxurious level.
